The absolutely professional, patient, and loving manner in which the staff at J E Churchman, Jr. Funeral Home, cared for our family member, was nothing short of "Amazing!" During our most difficult days of grieving our loved one, Simone helped us get all of the necessary documents signed, and made all of the arrangements in such a short period of time. Thank you, Simone, Brandon and J E Churchman, Jr., family, for doing a beautiful job of helping our large family and many friends, to find closure and some comfort, by transporting his body to the beautiful(graveside) Memorial Service at the peaceful and serene Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ. I can't say enough good things about Churchman! Efficient, flexible, and professional family-owned funeral home with first class service. The staff are all very kind, patient and thoughtful. They do absolutely magnificent work on face, dress and hair; your loved one will look just like their regular self. Churchman is undoubtedly unmatched in the city of Newark and even beyond.

What a tremendous blessing the Churchman family is as well as their staff. Kind, compassionate, professional and dedicated to the delicate service of providing such a difficult moment with such heart. Edith, Simone, Mr. Rowe and all of those who were a part of our experience were outstanding. Talk about love. We don't live in or near Newark but our circumstances had us there and I'm just so grateful that in our search we called them first. They only provided the services we needed versus the ones we were told by others that we had to have by law. Wasn't true saving us thousands of dollars while not compromising the sacred ritual and the beauty of it that we were preparing.
