Paneer biryani was excellent— we got the extremely spicy one and it was tasty with dum biryani vibes. Good portion size for 2 people.

Service was nice, but only offer 1 water bottle for sharing b/w 2 people (charge $1.50 for every additional bottle, no tap water option) — thought that was a little weird.

Best biryani I’ve ever tried. The staff’s so nice and had the best recommendations. So glad I came here. I’m from New Mexico and not many Indian restaurants there. I might just come back to NYC/NJ area just to eat here.

The first authentic Biryani I have eaten in New York/ Jersey City area in 5 years. I'm a foodie and love cooking as well, I love biryani so much I learned how to make it myself because I couldn't fin the authentic taste anymore. A deep google search showed me that Southern Spice had authentic Biryanis. I called them up and asked them to customise it. The Dilkush Biryani was amaaazing reminded me of Butter Chicken Biryani from back home! Would highly recommend it!

I've been to Southern Spice restaurant over the weekend and I loved the food over there. Especially the Mandi Biryani! The taste was so delicious and couldn't find a better Mandi Biryani in Jersey City. Absolutely must try restaurant. Worth the portion to its price.
The service was really good and food was brought to me in time without any delays. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
The ambience was good and definitely a worth trying place and can't wait to come back next weekend.
