Rug Cleaning and Repair

Highly recommended!
NB: the small number of review is misleading since Merk moved and it was very well regarded already (with plenty of positive reviews) when the business was at another address.

For extremely reasonable price, Merk and his business cleaned my Kazakh rugs well and were extremely friendly and accomodating for pick-up/delivery/payment and in general for any communications. Makes you feel you can really trust them for doing a goob job and being reasonable with your needs/finance.

Owned 4-5 rugs brought from Europe and other places. None of them are ultra delicate or very special but I like them a lot. Was looking for a friendly competent place that does not break the bank and finding Merk's business solved a long-standing challenge for me. Experience with other places I called or who visited were much worse (trying to pack a bundle of things, not flexible with pick-up and generally much more pushy, one even wanted to push me into selling my rugs to him) so I would advise you not to waste more time and work with that business.

Although I have no firsthand experience at this time, Merk will be the first I'll contact if I had any more specialized rug job to do (like a repair, a very old piece or something very delicate).

I contacted this company to clean and repair a 5 x 8 Persian rug I own. It had accumulated a great deal of dust from some alteration work being performed in our apartment building, and the ends of the rug were starting to unravel, thread by thread. I got the rug back yesterday, and I am pleased to report that their work was truly excellent. Mert's craftsmanship is of the highest quality. The rug looks great - I am really pleased with the result. Furthermore, they were very pleasant to interact with, and they picked up and delivered at exactly the times they had promised. They clearly take pride in their work, which is of the highest quality. I can recommend them enthusiastically and without reservation.
