East Rutherford YMCA exceeded our families and guests expectations at our Princess Birthday Celebration🎉.

The staff professionalism, friendliness, world class service and cleanliness of the place was simply above & beyond my expectations with a 5 Star ⭐️ rating.

This location possess a safe, pleasant, convenient and positive environment for kids and adults of all ages!

👍 Special recognition to Phil Stern, Associate Program Director, it’s not often that you see a Director actively involved in the logistics of an event and greets you at the front door with his employee(s). 🚨 Kudos to Prince & Mateo for their exceptional service and professionalism that impacted everyone’s experience including the Birthday Girl!

Prince & Mateo demonstrated a lot of pride on what they do, expertise and delivered “world class service” from beginning to end.

As a VP/Manager for a large known company, I have trained, coached and evaluated hundreds of employees around service! Prince & Mateo possess the skills and experience necessary around delivering world class service and hosting their guests! They were simply on point and efficient!

Recommendation(s):
Re-evaluate the 2 hour limitation for Pool Birthday parties. Perhaps you may want to consider changing from 2 to 3 hours or providing a 30 minutes window for guest(s) to transition from the pool to changing lockers to the party room!
When you have multiple kids it can be challenge to change them in a timely manner. I’m confident that Prince & Mateo can share their observations and provide valuable recommendations!

Love this facility. Staff and trainers are always very friendly. I love that I can reserve a lap lane and not worry about whether or not one will be available when I show up. Everything is very clean. The Les Mills classes are great!

I really love the YMCA, it's perfect for families. The facilities are always very clean, the staff is nice, lots of varieties of things to do, and a swimming pool. My biggest gripe that I took a star away is the lack of family swim time. It's like 30 to 50 people crammed into a quarter of the pool, while a few laps are open to non family swim people. They have lap swims all day and evening long. It would be a good time to skip the lap swims and dedicate that to the families. Or offer more than just 2 to 3 family swim sessions every week.

I’ve been a member of this YMCA for about a year. It’s an easy access from Rt 17. The locker room is very neat and clean. I’ve used a pool for a lap swim a few times and taken aquatics class which was a really good workout surprisingly. My favorite class at studio is cardio kickboxing (every Thursday at 6am). The instructor (Ms. Bernice) makes the entire workout fun and energetic! It’s totally worthy to wake up at 5:00am and hit the studio. Wish there are more classes like this.
