(October 3, 2021, 2:58 pm)Great place to visit regardless of what time of year. During the summer and weekdays, come for a free inside tour of the actual fort itself where you can immerse yourself with how it would feel to be there when it was active.

(November 19, 2019, 7:24 am)Great hidden gem of place. Alot of Fort is self guided tours. This is one of only multi use Forts today. Us park service US Army and Coast Guard all still operate here

(August 13, 2018, 11:58 am)The Visitor Center is the best way to start your visit to Fort Wadsworth. There is a museum which provides a great overview of the historic military base and fortifications and there are park rangers on staff who can point out all the best things to see in the park. Definitely worth your time. - Be advised: this visitor center is open seasonally (spring, summer, and fall) and is usually closed in the winter. Call ahead!
