Cedar Grove Beach

I was surprised at how clean it was! Most of the staten island beaches tend to be dirty or with a lot of needles. Decided to try this beach further down from where we usually go at south beach and was pleasantly surprised and happy! We will for sure be back!

Beautiful park with beach access. This park has a parking lot for the beach and also has a walking area but you can't see the beach from the walking area. The beach is not as huge as South Beach but because it's smaller is has a locals only kind of a feel to it. The walking path is about 15 to 30 minutes long but it's a nice clean open walking area that is fun to walk your dogs on.

I think it is great that this beach is here because it usually isn’t very crowded even in the summer (except times like July 4th). The trail and boardwalk next to it is really beautiful and I like to walk my dog on the trail. Sometimes I collect shells and stones from the beach. The problem is there is garbage and all sorts of pollution which is an eye-sore, bad for ocean wildlife, and kind of gross to step in! I notice some organizations do community service there and try to clean up the beach sometimes. I love the effort but we need to work harder to keep our beach clean!
