Went to Bob's Motor Works after being recommended by another very good auto shop. I had an issue the other shop diagnosed as possible trouble with the differential, or play/looseness in the driveshaft.

After discussing it with Bob of Bob's Motor Works we took it for a test drive. After duplicating the rattling noise in the back, he said it wasn't the differential or driveshaft.

Went back to the shop. I pulled out my reading material hoping to catch up on some reading. After less than an hour, Bob walks out and says he believes they've fixed the issue. I'm stunned... We take it for a test drive, and sure enough this issue that I've had for almost 2 years and gone through 2 rear-shock replacements has been fixed in quite possibly less than 30 minutes.

According to Bob, the issue was loose rear upper control arms. He said he saw the looseness in the upper control-arms and just decided to re-torque everything tight.

Problem solved. Excellent diagnosis, efficient solution, and quick resolution of my close to 2 year old rattling issue.

To say that these guys are the best would be an understatement. Bob is one the nicest people you’ll ever meet and truly has passion for cars and it shows. I bought an 01 BMW 740iL and these are not the easiest cars to work on, but Bob went above and beyond what I expected when I took it to him on multiple occasions. His prices are extremely fair and even discounted many parts for me whenever possible. Timing chain guides are an extremely common and extremely costly job and can easily be done improperly, but Bob did the job with no questions asked and did an outstanding job. They are simply the best at what they do and I wouldn’t even own this car if it wasn’t for the amazing work they do.

I have a Range Rover that needed some TLC, my regular mechanic was swamped and wouldn't be able to get to the repairs. He recommended Bob's Motor Works. I found Bob to be professional, meticulous, reasonably priced, and above all, honest! He went through the vehicle, did the repairs all at a great price.
